Commit all, do nothing

A few days ago, the Parliament passed the bill regarding women's harassment. No doubt, it is a good step towards women's emancipation at the workplace and a bane for those afflicted with this sort of depravity. I wish to draw attention of the authorities towards the matter of its implementation though. Implementation, it seems, is a sore point with the PPP. The Prime Minister, on the day of his election as PM had committed that the 1973 constitution will be restored. He said, again and again, thereafter that the Charter of Democracy will be acted upon. Nothing really happened despite these commitments on the floor of the Parliament. -ALI MOHSIN, Lahore, December 4.
