Rawalpindi - The education department Rawalpindi has started collecting data of matric trained teachers (MTTs) for sending them homes under premature retirement policy.

Deputy DEOs and AEOs from seven tehsils of district Rawalpindi have started work on obtaining data from all government primary schools in respect of teachers who are matriculate so that they could be retired under Punjab government pre-mature retirement policy. The lists of these teachers will be sent to provincial education department and the policy will be implemented from January 2015. The teachers associations have voiced strong protest over Punjab government’s policy of retiring the matric trained teachers before date of retirement.

Meanwhile, Faulty website of Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) has blocked the process of filing of admission forms by students appearing in the upcoming secondary school certificate (SSC) examination.
