LAHORE - The Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) on Saturday held a special sitting at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan commemorating the Pakistan Movement worker Muhammad Idrees Janbaz on his 12th death anniversary.

Delivering his presidential address, NPT chairman Rafique Tarar observed that Idrees Janbaz would always be counted among those individuals who were endowed with rare qualities of head and heart.

Sincerity, selflessness, helpfulness and love for knowledge were hallmarks of his personality, he held.

“As a committed worker of the Muslim League, he devoted all his time and energy to its growth through his organizational skills,” he commented.

Those who also spoke on the occasion included Waqas Ahmad Shahbaz, Shoaib Khurram Janbaz, sons of the deceased, Anwar Qadwai, Aziz Zafar Azad, Ghulam Hussain Shahid, Nadeem Bhatti, Choudhry Nazir Ahmad, Hafiz Shafique-ur-Rehman Aslam Zar and Iqbal Dar. A glowing tribute was paid to the vet and the speakers called for following in his footsteps to get the country out of problems.
