The Indian cricket board wants to host the Pakistan home series because they do not want to tour Pakistan or play at a neutral venue like U.A.E This is a trap by the Indian cricket board because if the Pakistani cricket team tours India in December and January, then we cannot say that we do not want to participate in World Cup T20 because of a security concern.

The real issue is that Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) has a problem with Ten Sports, given that they have a broadcasting right over the Pakistani cricket team.

Ten Sports which is backed by Zee Sports - Essel Group owner Subhas Chandra has had run-ins with BCCI after they started a now defunct rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL). The Indian Cricket Board doesn’t want any kind of working relationship with them. BCCI is keen to hold the first series in India and in that case Star Sports will be airing the matches live.

The Pakistani cricket team instead of boycotting the cricket world , have asked the ICC to shift all their matches from India to either Sri lanka or Bangladesh like in the World Cup of 2011 when foreign teams refuse to come to Pakistan. Pakistan cricket board has also made an effort and convince other boards that either World Cup T20 is postpone or shifted to Australia.

On sharing revenue with Pakistan, if the series happens in India the fact is that PCB was yet to receive its share of earnings from the PILCOM, organizing committee of the 1996 cricket World Cup. Former Pakistan Cricket Board treasurer Arif Ali Khan Abbasi also said there was a hefty sum of money which belongs to the PCB as its share of earning from the World Cup is still unaccounted for.
