ISLAMABAD – Last Pakistani hope Muhammad Abid was thrashed by Ti Chen in the quarterfinals of the Serena Hotels ITF Men’s Pro-Circuit (Futures) Tennis Tournament 2018 here at Senator Dilawar Abbas PTF Complex on Thursday. In men’s singles quarterfinals, Ti Chen outclassed M Abid 6-1, 6-3, Rio Noguchi (Jpn) beat Kai Wehnelt (Ger) 7-6, 6-4; Kim Cheon Eui (Kor) beat Saidal’o Saidkarimov (Uzb) 6-4, 6-1; Alexis Canter (Gbr) beat Sora Fukuda (Jpn) 6-3, 6-7, 7-5. In men’s doubles quarterfinals, Darko Jandric/Shonigmatjon Shoeyziyev beat M Abid/M Wagas Malik 6-3, 4-6, 10-3; A Pavliouchenkov/V Polyakov beat Dmitry Myagkov/Saida’lo Saidkarimov 6-1, 7-5; Anton Chekhov/Kai Wehnelt beat Sora Fukuda/Ray Ho 7-6, 2-6, 10-6 and Eui Kim/Rio Noguchi beat Heera Ashiq/Mudassar Murtaza 6-4, 6-2.–Staff Reporter
