Over 80 boys and girls feature in Punjab’s table tennis trials

LAHORE   -   The Sports Board Punjab (SBP) conducted table tennis trials for the selection of Punjab’s U-17 male and U-16 female table tennis teams at Nishtar Park Sports Complex (NPSC) Gymnasium Hall on Monday. As many as 64 boys and 20 girls from all nine divisions of the province took part in the trials. Punjab’s selected U-17 male and U-16 female teams will participate in the Inter-Provincial U-17 Boys and U-16 Girls Table Tennis Tournament scheduled to be staged from Dec 24 to 26 in Karachi. Punjab’s 14-member contingent including five U-17 boys and two officials and an equal number of U-16 girls and two officials will feature in the championship. Meanwhile, DG Sports Punjab Javed Chohan while presiding over an important meeting at National Hockey Stadium has directed all DSOs to hold maximum sports activities in their respective divisions under Annual Sports Calendar. The possible inclusion of different games in the Annual Sports Calendar was also discussed during the meeting. All DSOs informed the meeting about their activities planned for the next calendar year.
