LAHORE - Punjab were 59 for no loss in their first innings against Sindh on the opening day in the fourth round match of the Faysal Bank Pentangular Cup (first-class) tournament here at the at Gaddafi Stadium on Monday.

Nasir Jamshed 23 not out and M Yasin unbeaten 29 were at crease at stamps. Earlier, batting first Sindh were bowled out for 225 in 68.1 overs. Khurram Manzoor (36), Saeed bin Nasir (32), Faraz Ahmad (30), Tanvir Ahmed (22) and Fahad Iqbal (21) helped Sindh to post 225 against Punjab.

Bilawal Bhatti (5/58) and Asif Raza (4/82) bowled well from Punjab. Riazuddin and Ahmed Shahab supervised the match while Azizur Rehman acted  as match referee.
