SIALKOT - All the people of Punjab Sunday observed the Kashmir Day with traditional enthusiasm and they expressed complete solidarity with the people of Indian-Held Kashmir.

Like other Punjab cities, a lot of rallies were taken out in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial, Uggoki, Pasrur, Chawinda, Badiana and surrounding areas. In Sialkot city, the people participated in All Parties Kashmir grand rally, which began from Allama Iqbal Chowk and ended at District Courts after passing through from all the main roads of the city. The participants of the rallies, holding banners and placards, chanted anti-India slogans. Several local Kashmiri leaders, candidates of various mainstream political parties, senior journalists and the members of Sialkot District Bar Association participated in the rally.

Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami Sialkot Ameer Hafiz M Tahir Aslam and former MPA Arshad Mehmood Baggu Advocate told the newsmen that hundreds of the JI and Shabab-e-Milli activists also took out an anti-India rally to express complete solidarity with the oppressed people of Held Kashmir. In Bahawalpur, a protest rally was taken out to mark the day which was largely attended by the people from all walks of life.

Special prayers were offered in the city mosques for the early liberation of the Held Kashmir. The speakers urged the world to take serious and immediate notice of the Indian atrocities in the valley and play its due role for long lasting peace in the region to resolve the Kashmir dispute according to the UNO resolutions and public will of the area. They severely condemned the brutal role of the Indian rulers and army over unjustified occupation and killing of a large number of innocent Kashmiris.

The speakers and the participants also made a human chain and supported the cause of plebiscite and assured complete solidarity with the Kashmiri brethren over their struggle for liberation from the clutches of the Indian govt.
