Islamabad - Islamabad Police have arrested 57 suspects during search operation in various areas of the city, a police spokesman said on Friday.

Different police teams conducted search operation in the areas of Sector F-11, Ittefaq Colony, Sector G-10, Park Road, Kachi Abadi and under-construction buildings as well as plazas there. They succeeded to nab 57 suspects who are being investigated further. The SSP Islamabad has said the purpose of this search operation and high vigilance is to ensure foolproof security in the city. He has also appealed to the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them.

Meanwhile, Islamabad police have arrested 11 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered two stolen bikes, laptop, wine, weapons and looted items from their possession. According to details, Ramna police arrested 3 accused Asif, Abid and Luqman and recovered two stolen bikes and laptop from their possession. Kohsar police arrested an accused Asmat and recovered stolen property from him. Police team also arrested a bootlegger identified as Misbah and recovered five wine bottles from him. Bhara Kahu police arrested Zarkameel for decanting gas in cylinders illegally. Koral police arrested four thieves identified as Asim, Arfan, Rafique and Waheed while Sihala police nabbed Kamran for having one 30-bore pistol and ammunition. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is under way.

SSP Islamabad has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to accelerate their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements.
