LAHORE - Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC) signed an MoU with Child Protection & Welfare Bureau (CPWB) here on Friday.  

According to this MoU, the PVTC will set up a Vocational Training Institute in the premises of the Bureau so that the destitute and neglected children may get state of the art training facilities at their door step.

The CPWB is currently delivering child protection services in seven districts of the province including Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad and Dera Ghazi Khan and 39,270 destitute & neglected children have been facilitated by the Bureau in six years.

As PVTC has a 17 years of proven experience of permanent rehabilitation of poor and needy people by imparting demand driven vocational skills.

Therefore both the bodies have joined hands to work for the noble cause of rehabilitation of destitute.

Ms Saba Sadiq, Chairperson CPWB, Ms Fatima Sheikh, DG CPWB, Malik Nadeem Kamran, Minister of Z&U,Ms Zakia Shahnawaz, Mr Habibur Rehman Gilani, Secretary Z&U, Mr Faisal Ijaz Khan, Chairman PVTC, Mr Sajid Naseer Khan, MD PVTC and Mr Shafqat ur Rehman attended the MoU ceremony.
