LAHORE - For building the nation, there is an urgent need to provide health services at the grass root level in society.

This was stated by Director General Walled City Project Kamran Lashari at the inauguration of Outdoor Patients Department of Hidayat Ismail Skin and General Hospital yesterday.

The hospital is run on profit basis by Imrana Kaneez Welfare Foundation, whose chairperson Imrana Kaneez Fatima was also present on the occasion.

Other prominent people present on the occasion included Dr Masood Sohail, Prof Dr Tahir Jamil Ahmed DIG Khurram Shakoor and Sarwar Tehseen.

Ms Fatima lauded the efforts of Dr Masood Sohail in construction of the hospital. “The number of public sector hospitals when compared with the large population. A doctor has to see 200 to 300 patients per day.

“Therefore, there is dire need to open up new hospitals especially in less developed areas. This hospital has been made to facilitate the poor,” she added.
