LAHORE  - Jamiat Ahle Hadith Chief Prof Sajid Mir called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif yesterday.

Shahbaz said that sincere efforts have been made in the right direction to deal with the challenges facing Pakistan.

He said the government has promoted new trends of transparency in the public welfare projects and set glorious example of saving national resources of billion of rupees in the public welfare projects.

The CM said the present government had always given preference to national interests and decisions on important matters have been made by taking political forces into confidence. He said that all political forces have to play their positive role for taking Pakistan forward by rising above personal interests.

He said effective steps have been taken under National Action Plan for peace. Shahbaz mentioned the success of Zarb-e-Azb. He said that national action plan reflects national commitment for eliminating terrorism. He stressed the need for promoting tolerance and patience in the society. He said that Ulema have to play an effective role for this purpose as constitution of peaceful society is the dream of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Hafiz Abdul Karim, Malik Zulqurnain Dogar and Muhammad Suleman Mangla were also present.
