ISLAMABAD - Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif Tuesday said that people’s court had rejected his disqualification and time would prove that his ouster from power was result of a conspiracy.

Nawaz Sharif was talking to the party leaders and lawyers after appearing before the NAB court here at the Punjab House on Tuesday. “People of Pakistan have not accepted the disqualification verdict and the response he is getting from masses in the public rallies is enormous,” he added.

He said that the time has come the snatching of mandate and derailing of political government through undemocratic means must stop as it would neither good for the country nor for the democratic order.

He reiterated to fight out the corruption cases framed on flimsy grounds and would not let the conspirators against the development agenda of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz frustrate.

Nawaz Sharif said that his party had served the cause of masses and will continue pursuing the agenda of serving the people of Pakistan in the future as well because the development and progress of the country always remained on top of the party’s agenda.

Nawaz Sharif said that one wrong decision had hampered the pace of development they were maintaining but made it loud and clear that with the support of masses they would turn the table on their opponents.

He said that time would prove that his ouster from power was a result of a conspiracy against them and it was just aimed at stopping them from fast-track development the party was carrying out in the length and breadth of the country.

In a separate meeting with senior party leaders it was decided that the party must continue confronting the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif by the apex court in masses while the legal course would be carried forward side by side.

The participants praised Nawaz Sharif for holding successful rallies in Peshawar and Muzaffarabad where the response of general public was impressive. It was further decided that Nawaz Sharif would continue addressing the public rallies in coming days and months to mobilise the public in support of PML-N and to inculcate the narrative of the party in the minds of people so that they would come up with unprecedented support to PML-N candidates in next general elections.

Prominent among those who attended the meeting included Maryam Nawaz, Engineer Amir Muqam, Maryam Aurangzaib, Asif Kirmani and other senior party leaders.
