Pakistan has urged the UN Security Council to implement its resolutions on Kashmir, reported Radio Pakistan.

This was stated by Pakistan's permanent representative to the UN Maleeha Lodhi while speaking at a debate on the 'Working Methods of the Security Council in New York.

She stressed the need for enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness and transparency in the 15-member body's work.      

Maleeha Lodhi said the Council's enhanced engagement with the wider United Nations membership was critical, as everyone had a stake in the maintenance of international peace and security.
