Governor returns 8 bills to PA


LAHORE - Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa has returned 8 bills to the Punjab Assembly for reconsideration, raising some legal objections.
This was revealed by PML-Q legislator, Dr Samia Amjad in Punjab Assembly on Friday while speaking on a point of order.
She told the House that it was the result of utmost haste with which legislation was carried out in the Assembly, setting aside the amendments suggested by the Opposition.
Dr. Samia further said that in a meeting of the Standing Committee, she had also pointed out the same flaws in the language used in the bills, which have now been pointed out by the governor. She said she had emphasised in that meeting that the word “Pakistan” could not be replaced with the word “Punjab”, but no body paid heed to her assertion.
The Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal told the legislator that she would be allowed to speak her mind on the subject when the bills returned by the governor are taken by the Assembly again. PPP’s Hassan Murtaza also supported the PML-Q lady and said that tax-payers money had been spent on passage of these bills, and now more funds will be spent when the exercise is repeated by keeping the Assembly in session for more days. 
127 passports, 132 CNICs recovered:?FIA passport circle conducted a raid on two illegal and unauthorised travel agencies on Friday and arrested two  people involved in illegal business of export of manpower  to different countries, said spokesman of FIA here.  He said that Deputy Director FIA Shahid Hussain received a secrete information that two people were involved in running of two unauthorised travel agencies in the name of Unique Travel Star and Star Travel & Tour in Joharabad District Khushab on receiving information Deputy Director formed a raiding team which conducted raid on said travel agencies and arrested Tanveer Ahmed and Waseem Abbas.
The raiding party also recovered 127 Passports and 132 Computerized National Identity Cards from their possession apart from many other fake travel documents and stationary.
The spokesman said that raid case FIR No-01/2012 was registered against the accused at FIA Faisalabad Region and further investigations were underway.
