LAHORE – The funeral prayer of Sahibzada Mian Khalil Ahmed Sharqpuri, renowned religious and spiritual personality of the country, was held here on Friday. Religious scholars, political and social personalities and hundreds of thousands Murids of late Sahibzada participated in the prayer.
Late Mian Khalil Ahmed was the member of Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Advisory Council and throughout his life, he struggled to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state. NPT Secretary Shahid Rasheed participated in the funeral prayer on behalf of TheNation Editor-in-Chief and NPT Chairman Majid Nizami. He paid glowing tributes to the religious and national services of late Sahibzada Sharqpuri. Shahid Rasheed said that NPT would soon hold a condolence reference for late Mian Khalil Ahmed.
He also laid floral wreath at the shrine of Sahibzada Pir Mian Khalil Ahmed Sharqpuri.
Allama Muhammad Mansha Tabish, Allama Raghib Hussain Naeemi, Allama Abdus Satar Saeedi, Justice (rtd) Muneer Ahmed Mughal, Justice (rtd) Nazir Ahmed, Pir Azmat Ali Shah, Pir Tayyab Ali Shah among other renowned personalities participated in the prayer.
Rasm-e-Qul of late Shaibzada Sharqpuri would be held at Sharqpur on Sunday.
