LAHORE – PTI leaders while predicting snap polls in April expressed concern that they don’t expect fair and free elections under President Asif Zardari.

PTI leaders, Ahsan Rasheed and Jamal Leghari expressed these views while addressing a Press conference at party’s Punjab Chapter office on Friday.

They said that keeping in view the ongoing chaos in the country the government instead of holding the Senate polls should prepare for general elections for seeking a fresh mandate, as the masses lost confidence in the current Parliament.

PTI leaders said that they would not forge alliance with any political force, however the clean individuals from other political parties could join them to bring a change in the country.

They claimed that more political bigwigs with clean record would join the PTI in near future and the so-called popular parties’ would be facing the scarcity of upright candidates for fielding them in the next polls.

Jamal Leghari said that he was proud of becoming part of PTI, as this party, he added comprise of clean men.

He said that PML-Q MNA, Sumera Malik would join the PTI, while many other surprises were in the waiting for the self-claimed popular parties.

Responding to a query, he maintained neither the PTI was an establishment-backed party nor the mentioned force had directed him to join Imran.

Replying to another question, Jamal claimed that he didn’t get any government fund as a part of Senate.
