LAHORE – Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said former Law Minister Babar Awan and the Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa are known for receiving money in the name of judges.

Talking to media persons at Punjab Assembly premises here Friday, Rana Sana appeared astonished at the way Babar Awan slighted the courts through his words and said such a lawyer deserved to be disqualified to practice legal profession. On a question regarding return of the bills from Governor Punjab wherein Punjab was empowered under 18th Amendment and name of ‘Punjab’ instead of ‘Pakistan’ was required to be replaced, he said it appeared the governor wanted to enable Evacuee Trust Board to conceal its corruption by not signing the bills.

To a question, Rana Sana said the Senate election in the eye of the Constitution, could be held on February 11. To a question on the establishment of new provinces, he said, the demand, given the current situation, appears based on malafide. A committee like that set up on the 18th Amendment is needed to sort out the issue of new provinces, he added.
