KARACHI - A youth was murdered ‘apparently’ by the family of a girl whom he loved here in the limits Steel Town Police.

According to police, three-day-old dead body carrying severe torture marks of 25-year-old Yousuf Ali Magsi, son of Nabi Bux Magsi was found near a nullah in Sector 13, Malir Development Authority in the limits of Steel Town Police. They said the victim, worked at a private company as security guard, went missing on January 1, 2012, adding that his motorbike was recovered two days ago. Moreover, the police said the family of the victim received sms from victim’s cellphone, which suggested that the family of unidentified girl whom he loved had threatened him with dire consequences if he didn’t dissociate himself from the girl. But he refused to do so which according to them could have led to his death. They said the sms further informed his family members to recover his body from the said place.

Meanwhile, the police suspected that personal dispute might be the cause behind the murder and the killers wanted to divert the investigation towards love issue. The police were of the view that the victim was also an active worker of Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party. The police shifted the body to JPMC for post-mortem and later handed it over to the family. No case was registered till filing the report.
