Carpeting of street demanded

RAWALPINDI – Non-carpeting of street number 2 of Dhok Syedan has added to the miseries of the residents.
Width of this street is already minimal that is only 4 feet. This street turns into pond of stinking water even if light shower hits it. This is all due to heavy digging in therein.  Cantonment Board has done digging work in the street for laying water supply line but it was not filled, said a group of residents. Due to flooding stinking water in the street it has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and dengue fever sword continues to hang over heads, said Kulsooma Bibi a house wife.
Residents demanded immediate carpeting of the street otherwise they will be forced to hold protest demonstrations.
