LAHORE- Former Chief of Army Staff General (Retd) Mirza Aslam Baig today accused India of enticing tension at the borders, in order to influence the war against terror.
Talking to a private TV channel, Aslam Baig said border terrorism was detrimental to world peace and suggested the government to make the world aware of Indian agenda.
Pakistan armed forces were engaged to fight terrorism and the tension aroused at the working boundary seems like an organized attempt to deviate our focus, the former army chief said and urged the government to become active at the borders.
Meanwhile Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) resorted to unprovoked firing on Wednesday and was given a befitting response by Chenab Rangers to silence enemy guns. BSF resorted to unprovoked firing at all four sectors of Shakargarh since December 31 killing two of Chenab Rangers’ officers.
