islamabad - Motorists travelling on the Islamabad Expressway are facing problems in the absence of warning signs at the construction site near Faizabad.

The expansion work under Phase II (Faizabad to Koral Chowk) for signal free corridor has started last month, but no warning signs have been erected at the site to avoid inconvenience to the motorists.

Ashraf, who travels on the road for office daily, told APP that the traffic police had placed a metal barrier just across the Faizabad flyover towards Koral Chowk on the left side without any warning sign causing accidents.

He said a few warning signs had been installed at points, which were not visible to road users.

When contacted, an official of the Islamabad Traffic Police said the ITP was taking all precautionary measures to ensure safety of motorists. Warning signs would be installed on the road around the construction site wherever required.
