A bullet-riddled body of 24-year-old youth who had gone missing three days ago was found in River Ravi near Bhokhan Wal village on Wednesday.

Ferozewala police attributed the incident to an old enmity. Family sources denied the police claim and said that Iqbal had no rivalry in the area. They said it could be the outcome of robbery or dacoity incident.

On the other side, the incidents of bike snatching and theft have increased in and around the city which made the citizens panicked.

In an incident, three highway robbers intercepted one Tahir Bilal and snatched cash Rs52,000 and his bike at gunpoint near village Kaloke. In second incident, two unidentified dacoits stopped one Aslam near Bisakho Chowk and took away cash Rs10,000 and his motorcycle. Schoolteacher Ashfaq was deprived of his bike and cash on Sharqpur Road. The victim was coming home after performing his duty in his school.
