ZHOB:-Security forces on Wednesday arrested four suspected militants and recovered heavy weapons, explosives and maps of sensitive locations in Zhob district.
According to a Frontier Constabulary (FC) spokesperson, the militants were arrested from Killi Ismail Zai village. Two 303 bore rifles, an SMG, a 7mm rifle, a pistol, mortars and other weapons were confiscated from their hideout, besides maps of sensitive locations and key documents.–INP
The suspects were shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
It may be added that over 9,000 suspected militants and criminals were apprehended by the law-enforcement agencies in Balochistan as a part of the National Action Plan last year.
Some 1,973 intelligence-based operations were conducted in the province.
According to the provincial Home Minister, at least 204 ‘hardcore militants’ were killed and 70 law-enforcement agencies personnel died in encounters during 2015.
