PIA airhostess among 4 human traffickers arrested

ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) today apprehended four human traffickers, including a PIA air hostess and her husband, from Federal Capital and different cities of Punjab.

According to FIA sources, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) air hostess Amna Shahid and her husband Ahtashamul Haq were arrested from Benazir Bhutto International airport in Islamabad.

The name of Ahtashamul Haq, a travel agent in Mardan, was included in the Exit Control List (ECL). He was let by immigration authorities board the Jeddah-bound flight PK-741 along with his wife. On being alerted by the Airport Security Force, the FIA arrested the two accused.

Two other human traffickers were arrested by FIA team from Kharian and Gujarat. Accused Qamir Abbas and Iqbal were allegedly involved in sending people abroad on fake documents.

Meanwhile, FIA raided a printing press in Gawalmindi area of Lahore and seized fake passports, stamps of different institutions and other documents. Two persons, including the owner of the printing press, were also arrested.
