ISLAMABAD - Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Bin Ahmed al-Jubeir is due today to discuss bilateral relations with Pakistan as well as regional and internal developments.

He was scheduled to visit Pakistan on 3-4 Jan 2016 but the visit was postponed on the request of Saudi govt because of his pressing engagements at home after the Kingdom executed 47 militants, including a Shiite scholar which evoked serious public reaction in Iran. His execution led to attacks on Saudi foreign mission in Iran. Iran government has arrested dozens of people allegedly involved in the attacks. During his visit, al-Jubeir will meet PM Nawaz Sharif and Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and other senior government functionaries.
