TOBA TEK SINGH/HAFIZABAD -  The 90th birth anniversary of founder of Pakistan People's Party Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was observed at different functions held separately here the other day.

In Toba, PPP office-bearers and workers organised impressive ceremonies where cakes were cut to mark birth anniversary of the party's founding chairman.

While addressing the gatherings held at Gojra and Toba respectively, PPP's former provincial ministers Haji Muhammad Ishaq and Begum Neelum Jabbar, district PPP secretary Mian Islam Abid and Rana Muhammad Iqbal said that ZA Bhutto was a leader of international calibre and he gave consciousness to toiling masses to stand up for their rights. They said that Bhutto had made peasants the owners of the land they had tilled for centuries and also gave the country a constitution. They also said that Bhutto, his sons and his daughter had sacrificed their lives for the cause of democracy and the prosperity of the people. Cakes cutting ceremonies were also held on the occasion.

In Hafizabad, the 90th birth anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was observed at District Bar Association Hafizabad and PPP secretariat by cutting cakes.

Former DBA president Muhammad Arshad Mehind, Bilal Yaseen, Muhammad Zaman and other lawyers paid glowing tribute to late ZA Bhutto and pledged to continue his mission. PPP Rana Aftab, Syed Musaddaq Hussain Ghaznavi, Akram Mujahid, Shafiq Rahi also organised similar functions and called upon the party activists to forge unity to complete mission of late ZA Bhutto. They also offered 'Fateh Khawani' for their leader.
