ISLAMABAD - Federal Capital Police Sunday registered a First Information Report (FIR) against an SHO and two ASIs for illegal detention of citizens at their police station. According to details, police had registered FIR (No 190) under section 342, 343 and 109 PPC against the SHO of Aabpara Police Station Rashid Niazi along with other two ASIs Muhammad Saddique and Tahir Niazi. The FIR mentioned that ASI Muhammad Saddique was involved in illegal imprisonment of Akhtar Rehman and ASI Tahir Niazi had unlawfully arrested one Sajjad Khan. However, police sources informed that no one had yet been arrested. Meanwhile, Khursheed Khan who was offering his duty in Shehzad Town circle had been appointed as SHO of the Aabpara police stattion.   The illegal detention of Akhtar and Sajjad revealed in the wee hours of Sunday when Advisor to Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik surprisingly visited the Aabpara Police Station and checked the record. Malik, taking the serious notice, immediately suspended the SHO and ASIs.
