Pak-India talks on CBMs to be held on 10th

NEW DELHI  - Pakistan and India will discuss to launch new Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) in occupied Kashmir in a Working Group meeting on July 10 in Islamabad. Talking to APP, Afrasiab, Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner said an Indian delegation will travel to Pakistan to attend the meeting of Technical Working Group of both the countries on cross LoC CBMs. The meeting will take decisions regarding bus services, trade and truck services across the LoC announced in May, 2008 in Islamabad after the meeting of foreign ministers of both the countries. The first meeting of the group was held in May, 2006 in New Delhi. The sources said both the countries are working to start trade through truck service between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad. Lists of the items prepared by Islamabad and New Delhi to be traded will come under discussion during the meeting. The decision on increasing frequency of bus service between Muzaffarabad and Srinagar is likely to be taken while opening of more points on LoC will also be discussed to facilitate divided families. The date of this meeting of Working Group was agreed during the meeting between Foreign Ministers of Pakistan and India on June 27 here.
