Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) has demonstrated its failure in Chitral by imposing 16 hours of unscheduled loadshedding in Chitral. PESCO Chitral has 6000 commercial consumers in Chitral town, which held protest demonstration against unscheduled loadshedding back in 2008. MNA Shahzada Mohiuddin, Provincial Minister Saleem Khan, District Nazim Maghfirat Shah and PESCO authorities promised to do away with the mismanagement, buy electricity from SHYDO and upgrade Chitral power house within one month. They have failed to keep up their promise even after one year. I applied to the PESCO authorities to do away with un-scheduled load shedding of daily 18 hours duration in Chitral Bazaar where there is no shortage of electricity.-BASHIR HUSSAIN AZAD, Chitral, via e-mail, June 30.
