LAHORE Speakers at Hameed Nizami Hall on Tuesday linked the freedom of Kashmir with the united and strong Pakistan. They said the former dictator Pervaiz Musharraf was the man who caused damage to Kashmir issue while the Chairman Nawa-i-Waqt Group Majid Nizami is the person who is playing the best role for the independence of Kashmir. At a seminar on Kashmir issue, the former member of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir Assembly Maulana Muhammad Shafi Josh, Defense Analyst Maj Gen (r) Rahit Latif, Convener Tehrik-e-Azadi-e-Kashmir Pakistan Hafiz Khalid Waleed, Director Kashmir Center Mirza Muhammad Sadiq and President Pakistan Occupied Kashmir Peoples Movement Lahore Farooq Azad of the view that view that indulging of Pakistan with useless dialogue process with India would never bring solution to Kashmir issue. After the death of Allama Muhammad Iqbal it is Majid Nizami who is performing the duty of helping the Kashmiri people morally adding, Nawa-i-Waqt Group is also providing financial assistance to the displaced needy Kashmiri people, said by Shafi Josh. He said though the Jihadi movement paid their best part in highlighting Kashmir issue but there should be a unity among Pakistani nation for liberating Kashmir from the Indian yoke. He said the day when the Pakistani people get united, Kashmir would be free of Indian slavery. He also emphasised the need to bring to fore intellectual, well versed in Kashmir matter, instead of mere politician for heading the Kashmir committee. There should be a man who is well informed about the philosophy of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam to head the Kashmir committee, he said. Maj Gen (r) Rahit Latif said the war was the only solution to secure Kashmir for Pakistan. Though we have lost opportunity of getting Kashmir in 1962, 1965 and in Kargil war but we should believe as a nation that we could get Kashmir from Hindu Banya only through war Rahit said and added that CIA, RAW and MOSAD never would give Kashmir to Pakistan on a plate. He said the foreign agencies were busy weakening our country and we must take stock of this situation. Hafiz Khalid said Shuhada of Kashmir and Majid Nizami were the only two realities who kept alive the Kashmir issue. He said Kashmiri people for the last 62 years had been fighting to become part of Pakistan while our rulers were busy to bring harm to the Kashmir cause in the same period. Farooq Azad said Pakistan should not withdraw from its original stand that was referendum under the UNO in Kashmir to know the will of Kashmiri people. He said Pakistan should not compromise on this stand in upcoming talks at Foreign Minister level. He said the Kashmiri would not leave the struggle of becoming part of Pakistan at any cost. He said a powerful and united Pakistan was essential for solving Kashmir issue. Mirza Sadiq also subscribed to the views of other speakers on the solution to Kashmir dispute. He said though Kashmiri people were peaceful but they would never compromise on their freedom and continue their struggle to become part of Pakistan.
