Physical remand of Hamesh Khan extended till July 22

An accountability court in Lahore extended the remand of former Bank of Punjab (BoP) president Hamesh Khan and main accused of Rs 9 billion loan scam till July 22. NAB officials requested the court that new investigation team led by Additional IG Aftab Sultan is investigating the case, so remand should be extended. Hameshs lawyer said that NAB failed to present any proof in the court. Hamesh Khans physical remand has been extended till July 22. Hamesh Khan is accused of sanctioning loans worth Rs9 billion to Sheikh Afzal, the chief executive of Haris Steel Mills, on fake identity cards.
