LAHORE - Punjab Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rana Sanaullah has bitterly criticised the PPP leaders for indulging in point scoring after the suicide attacks on the Data Darbar Shrine, and averred that both the attacks and the subsequent statements were equally deplorable. While talking to mediamen outside the Punjab Assembly on Tuesday, Rana Sanaullah underlined the need for concrete intelligence sharing on the part of the federal government instead of issuing statements after the attacks. He was of the view initiation of dialogue with the Taliban should be done at the national level. In particular reference to Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Sana opined that the Federal Minister had not called even a single meeting of the provincial Home Ministers. He mentioned that the government had vigilant eye on the outlawed outfits and their activists in the province. While commenting on the statement given by Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Khawaja Sharif regarding the PPP, Sanaullah remarked that it did not suit the CJs stature, and further said, however, the way the PPP is passing statements against this constitutional office, is not good as well.
