The Supreme Court (SC) reserved its verdict in a case regarding the appointment of Acting Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Javed Qazi and Prosecutor General of NAB Irfan Qadir, report said on Wednesday. A SC bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry and comprising Justice Ghulam Rabbani and Justice Khalilur Rehman Ramday, today heard the petition filed by Bank of Punjab (BoP). The BoP requested the court in its petition to issue appropriate orders for the immediate appointment against the Nabs vacant office. The petition also challenged the notification regarding the appointment of Javed Zia Qazi as Acting Chairman of Nab. The petition pleaded the court to annul the notification regarding the appointment of Prosecutor General Irfan Qadir as well.
