KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain has said that the innocent people killed in recent terrorists attacks on mosques, shrines and other religious places have nothing to do with drone attacks. Considering these attacks as a reaction to the drone attacks is tantamount to condoning these terrorists activities. He expressed these views during a telephone conversation with members of different wings of the MQM here at Khursheed Begum Memorial Hall in Azizabad on Tuesday. On the occasion members of the partys Rabita Committee were also present. Altaf said that the terrorists who attacked the shrine of Data Gunj Bakhsh (RA), killing many innocent men, women and children were not worthy of being called humans. Although our party has always been against the drone attacks, but all the people who are being killed in the terrorist attacks on mosques, Imambargahs and marketplaces are innocent, and could not be linked to the drone attacks in anyway, he pointed out. The MQM chief called on the masses, especially the youth, not to support those who showed their sympathies for these terrorist attacks either through public speeches or interviews. He appealed to the print and electronic media not let any interview on air that expressed support for these attacks in anyway, and should be boycotted completely. He also appealed to the youth to form committees for the security of mosques and shrines of Sufi Saints in these respective areas. He called on the nation to keep an eye on all suspicious people and their activities and contact security officials if they sensed anything anywhere in the country. Altaf stressed that people from all sects, creed and races must forget what religion, culture or race they belonged to, rather work together to save the country by foiling the conspiracies of the anti-state elements.
