SARGODHA - A medical officer and three others were killed in separate incidents in the district on Wednesday. Dr Qamer, who was appointed at Rural Health Centre Dhrema, was on his way to home. When he reached near Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Town, a speeding car (1815/FCD) trampled him. As A Result, he died on the spot. In another road accident, Karam Elahi was crushed to death by a van on Jhawarian Road. A woman was strangled by unidentified person in the remits of Jhal Chakian police station. Besides, a person shot at one Javeed Iqbal in the jurisdiction of Urban Area police. Later, the victim succumbed to injuries. 'Sold wife seeks justice: An additional district and sessions judge summoned police authorities concerned for 11th in a case of a woman who was allegedly sold by her husband for sex. The petitioner pleaded that she was not being provided with justice by the police. Twenty-year-old Tasneem, a resident of Mangni village told AD&SJ Malik Mushtaq Elahi that she married to one Mohsin one-and-half years ago and her husband sold her to a person namely Yousaf. She said that Yousaf brought her to a local red-light area and then shifted to Lahore for prostitution. Luckily, she found an opportunity and fled away from his confinement.
