ISLAMABAD (APP) - The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Wednesday urged the government to execute Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline as early as possible in order to run wheel of the industry. To meet the current demand of gas, the government must execute Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project, said Mahfooz Elahi, President ICCI, during his meeting, along with a delegation of ICCI, with General Manager Sui Northern Gas, Chaudhry Arshad. The ICCI president said that Industrial Area of Islamabad Capital Territory is located near the offices of Sui Northern Gas which has been facing various problems of gas outages. He said that ICCI would cooperate with Sui Northern Gas officials for resolving such problems. He said that business community of Islamabad has been facing severe problem of low gas pressure. There was a dire need of adjustment in the loadshedding schedule, he added. General Manager Sui Northern Gas Ch Arshad said that we are always in need of full support from business community in overcoming issues. He agreed that the government should complete the gas pipeline projects, which would help overcome energy crisis.
