CHENGDU - Pakistani media delegation visited Chengdu alongwith the team of China Radio International (CRI) on Wednesday. Earlier, the media team visited Great Wall of the China. In Chengdu, the Consul General of Pakistan Hassan Hameed and Commercial Counsellor Saifud Din Junejo hosted a dinner for Pakistani media delegation. Information officer of Sichuan province, Hou Xiongfei was also present on the occasion. Meanwhile, talking with the media persons, Hassan Hameed disclosed that the Customs authorities due to unknown reasons in Pakistan are not releasing the equipment sent by China to Karachi to solve the energy crisis in Pakistan. He said 315 megawatt energy sharing equipment was sent by biggest Chinese company DEC for resolving energy crisis in Pakistan. Hassan said that we do not know why the equipment was not released and this has made the project on hold. He said that Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has taken the notice in this regard. He further said that JF-17 Thunder Project was running smoothly and its details had been delivered time to time to both the countries. Hassan stated that investment and trade was coming to China from Pakistan and both the countries have developed stronger ties. He said the private media, economic and cultural delegations would result in making Pak-China Friendship stronger. He said that the Consulate of Pakistan in China was working hard on economic and social fronts. He said a photographs exhibition was organised in Chendgu and we will soon organise a fashion and food festival in Chendgu so that to take Pak-China friendship to grass root level. Information Officer of Sichuan Provincial Hou Xiongfei later talking to Pakistani delegation said that Pakistan and China friendship after 60 years was also standing like mountains. He said that both the countries are working Pak-China Trade Corporation.
