SHO ordered to produce detainee

LAHORE - Additional District & Sessions Judge Arif Hameed Sheikh on Wednesday directed SHO Township police station to produce 12-year old detainee, Mubeen Siddique, before the court till July 8. The judge issued these directions while hearing a petition filed by detainees mother Maryum Siddique. The petitioner, Maryum, told the court that she had married with one Muhammad Saddique on January 3, 1997 and a child born out of the wedlock, Mubeen. She said her husband died on January 3, 2005 and later she married with Muhammad Saleem in India on September 30, 2005. She contended that she was living happily with Saleem but their relations got strained after sometime, and her husband started misbehaving and beating her. Resultantly, her husband kicked her out from his house. The petitioner further told the court that she came to Pakistan and filed a suit of dissolution of marriage which was decreed in her favour by the court of family judge Asad Imran on June 27, 2011. She said that her first husband had also snatched her child when she had contacted him to hand over her Mubeen for his better look after. The petitioner informed the court that she had also contacted the SHO Township police station for the recovery of her son. On her pray, the Judge ordered SHO Township police station to produce the child before court till July 8.
