Steps to increase per acre yield

MUZAFFARGARH - The Punjab government is taking steps to introduce modern technology so that per-acre yield can be increased, the executive district officer (agriculture) said on Wednesday. Muzaffar Khan Syial also said govt was providing spray machines for 918 small farmers at a cost of Rs3.1 million. He said that quota has been sanctioned in four tehsils of the district - Kotaddu, Muzaffargarh, Jatoi and Alipur. He said that 570 applications had been received from tehsil AliPur while 275 applicants have been provided machines. In tehsil Jatoi, 275 applicants got machines, Kot Addu Assistant Commissioner Syed Shafiq Abbas Shah, Jatoi AC Mian Fayaz Ahmed DP (Agri) Jamshad Ahmed Sindu and DO Ghulam Abbas Somoro were also present.
