SUKKUR (INP) - All the 10 hostages, including a head clerk, two Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel and seven cops, were released on Wednesday by the prisoners who took them hostages when riots erupted in Sukkur Jail. District Coordination Officer (DCO) Aitzaz Ahmad told the media that after successful talks with the prisoners of Sukkur Jail, they got released seven policemen, a head clerk and two FC men. The DCO said police will investigate the case and punish the people involved in the criminal act. On Tuesday, three prisoners were killed while eight policemen were injured during a clash in the Sukkur prison. The enraged prisoners took officials hostage in the jail.
