Peshawar - Chairman Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has said that every effort will be taken to eliminate deprivation of Pakhtuns.

Addressing two separate gatherings at Palai Dam and Munda Head Works on Saturday, he said that both projects are of very important nature and their completion will usher in a new agricultural revolution in the area. He demanded the federal government for speedy completion of both projects. Sherpao said that the purpose of their politics is service, progress and development of the backward areas and achieving these objectives they will utilise every available forum.

He said that due to wrong policies of the previous government the difficulties of Pakhtuns and the province were multiplied and now they are facing severe situation. He said that QWP will come up to the expectations of the people and will not hesitate from rendering any kind of sacrifice in this regard. Chairman QWP said that the champions of the rights of Pakhtuns gifted price-hike, lawlessness and extremism during their rule and took no concrete measures for the removal of difficulties being faced by them.

He said that their party would initiate practical measures for the redressal of the problems being faced by the Pakhtuns. He said that restoration of peace, elimination of terrorism, provision of employment and revival of sick industrial units are included in their top priorities and will take practical steps for the achievement of these goals.

He demanded the federal government for payment of compensation to the affected families of the war on terror to enable them to overcome their difficulties.
