Rawalpindi - PML-N MNA Hamza Shahbaz has said that the benefits of Ramazan Package worth Rs 3.2 billion should reach the consumers so that maximum relief could be provided to the citizens during the sacred month.
He added that availability of all essential commodities of daily use including supply of fresh vegetables and fruits be ensured in all Ramazan bazaars of the province including those being established in districts of Rawalpindi division. The arrangements of cleanliness, first aid and foolproof security be also ensured in these bazaars, besides taking measures for inclusion of elected representatives, affluent people, party office-bearers and active workers in monitoring committees of Ramazan bazaars with a view to make these bazaars a real success.
He expressed these views while addressing a high-level meeting held at Commissioner office Rawalpindi in connection with reviewing the arrangements of establishing Ramzan bazaars in districts of Rawalpindi division. Provincial Minister for Food Muhammad Bilal Yasin, Provincial Minister for Labour Raja Ishfaq Sarwar, MNA Malik Ibrar, MPAs Col (Retd) Shujah Khanzada, Iftikhar Warsi, Raja Hanif Advocate, Raja Muhammad Ali, Ch Lal Hussain, Muhammad Shahwaiz Khan, Zafar Iqbal, Zaib-un-Nisa Awan, Secretary Industries Muhammad Aslam Kumboh, Secretary Food, Commissioner Rawalpindi Khalid Masood Ch, RPO Naseem-uz-Zaman, DCOs and DPOs of Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal and Rawalpindi, CPO Rawalpindi and other concerned high ranking officers attended the meeting.
Provincial Minister for Food Muhammad Bilal Yasin informed the meeting that 6122 metric ton wheat has been released to the flour mills for providing atta at subsidised rates at Ramazan bazaars while 42,406 metric ton wheat has been issued to the flour mills for open markets.
