ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister's Aviation Advisor, Shujaat Azeem, visited Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA) Islamabad, Civil Aviation Authority has said in a statement. The advisor met the outgoing passengers in the departure lounge and asked about the facilities being provided to them at the airport. The passengers expressed satisfaction over the arrangements being made by the airport management.

During the visit, the aviation advisor directed the Airport Security Force (ASF), Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and Pakistan Customs to check the baggage of the passengers in coordination in order to save the time of the passengers for ensuring on-time departures of the flights. He emphasised the need to follow the security and custom rules at the same time. Shujaat Azeem also directed the ASF to operate both scanning machines at the rush hours. Immigration staff shall be deputed in adequate numbers at the immigration counters to avoid the long queue of the outgoing and incoming passengers, he instructed.
