ISLAMABAD  : Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, Ch Nisar Ali Khan, has expressed serious concerns on the developments taking place in Egypt. While talking to official media here on Saturday afternoon, the minister said that though whatever had happened in that country was an internal matter of Egypt, he hoped that normalcy would return soon and the people of Egypt would have a democratic government of their choice in the near future. He said all over the world and particularly in Pakistan, the people had watched with concern and anguish the way a democratically elected president had been removed through force and put under arrest. This surely is not the picture of Egypt that people of Pakistan would like to see in the 21st Century, he said. The minister hoped that the people and the leadership of Egypt were able to address their difficulties through a process of conciliation and dialogue.
