Passenger arrested with 2kg narcotics

The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) claimed on Saturday to have arrested a passenger trying to smuggle more than 2kg narcotics (a synthetic drug) from the Allama Iqbal Airport to Malaysia, said ANF spokesman. The ANF official said Iqbal Masih was scheduled to travel on Qatar Airways flight with his wife Parveen Akhtar.
The ANF staff was alert at the time of accused departure but when accused arrived airport he was alone and his wife was not with him. The ANF staff did not arrest him till waiting lounge for the reason that they wanted to arrest both of the accused simultaneously.
In the meanwhile, the accused successfully crossed the customs and the ASF counters during his briefing process and reached waiting lounge. But before boarding when his wife did not come, the ANF held him and recovered narcotics from his briefcase and shoes.–Staff Reporter
