Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Chaudhry Muhammad Shafique suspended the Defence SHO for delaying the registration of a robbery case.

A police spokesperson said that a citizen, Daniyal Farooq, appeared in front of the city police chief and complained against the SHO stating that the officer was unwilling to register the FIR which took place at his residence some seven day ago. The victim also said that he had become a rolling stone to get the FIR registered. After listening to the complainant, the CCPO ordered the police to register the case. He ordered his DSP Mansoor Qamar to inquire into the matter and report him within one hour.

After the allegations of negligence proved against the SHO, the CCPO suspended him. A show cause notice was also issued to the officer.–Staff Reporter
