Deeds, not words

The operation in North Waziristan ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ is ongoing and at such a critical time, the entire security network needs to be on its toes. Not only Pakistan, but Afghanistan also needs to tighten its security protocol and ensure that Pakistan is provided with all possible assistance in its efforts to eradicate terrorism. In this context, it is good to note that the military authorities of both the countries are to meet in Rawalpindi soon to discuss ways of enhancing cooperation. An Afghan military and intelligence delegation will hold talks with Pakistani military officials. The government of Pakistan has already urged Afghan officials to track down the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s chief Mullah Fazlullah, who vanished into Afghanistan. Let us hope that these talks between the two security counterparts will bear fruit and operation Zarb-e-Azb will be highly successful.
