The PML-N government has miserably failed to tackle the issue of electricity although before coming to power they promised to overcome it in six months. The false commitment has been exposed. Now the protests are held across the country with millions on the road burning and destroying our own property, ransacking WAPDA offices and grid stations. It seems government has no intention to resolve the issue.
All should be allowed to generate and distribute without any limit of 50 MW and private sector be entrusted the management of companies producing and distributing electricity. If government can gave education and health to private sector why it is not handing over utilities services? If in USA or any European country the private sector was handling power generations and distributions as the government is doing in Pakistan it would have been handed over a long time ago, but the government can still see some money making schemes and that is why they are reluctant.
