The Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) resorted to unprovoked heavy shelling on Pakistani border villages in Merajkey, Harpal and Charwah sectors of Working Boundary Sunday late night.
According to officials of the Punjab Rangers, the Indian BSF continued unprovoked heavy shelling on Pakistani villagers in Merajkey, Harpal and Charwah Sectors intermittently whole Sunday night.
Punjab Rangers’ officials added that the Indian BSF again targeted the civilian population in Sialkot border villages and damaged houses and cattle sheds. Indian BSF also fired several heavy shells, some of them landed in the local fields and could not explode there. Indian shelling created panic and harassment among the people.
The Punjab Rangers retaliated instantly and effectively in befitting manners, making the Indian guns silent, the officials added. No injury or loss of life reported, they said.
